Waze has today announced that Amazon Music has become the latest streaming service to join its Audio Player Program, giving drivers a new way to listen to music while in the car.

Amazon Music customers can listen on Waze by simply opening the Waze app and tapping the music note icon to select Amazon Music as their audio player. Prime members can access two million songs, over one thousand playlists and stations, and Amazon Music’s full podcast library at no additional cost.

Users will also receive next turn directions from Waze inside the Amazon Music app, so drivers can keep their eyes on the road without having to toggle between the two apps at any time.

“Since we launched our Audio Player back in October 2018, Waze users have driven over 100 billion kilometres while listening to content from streaming services via our Audio Player,” said Adam Fried, Head of Global Partnerships at Waze. “We’re really excited to welcome Amazon Music into the Audio Player family, giving drivers access to their favourite music and playlists to make their time in the car as enjoyable as possible.”

The Amazon Music integration for Waze Audio Player will begin rolling out from today. The latest version of Waze can be downloaded for free from the App Store.
