The upgraded Blink cameras now have an option for extended battery life with an all-new battery expansion pack (coming later this year), doubling battery life to four years. Blink cameras normally run on a set of AA lithium batteries that can last for up to two years.
The Blink cameras also get a new sleeker design, while also gaining a “privacy zone” feature to allow customers to block out sections in the camera’s field of view from being recorded. Clips are saved locally, plus there’s an option for cloud storage with a subscription.
Blink’s wireless security cameras feature 1080p HD video, infrared night vision, motion detection and two-way audio, while they are also compatible with Alexa for live viewing on an Echo Show, Fire TV or Fire tablet, to go with custom “activity zones”.
