Back in February, Anker announced it was set to roll out Apple’s HomeKit Secure Video for its eufyCam 2 and eufyCam 2C, bringing secure video recording to those with a paid iCloud storage plan.

While there was a beta program for the Anker’s support of HomeKit Secure Video, a company spokesperson told iPhone in Canada in a statement the launch has been delayed.

From what we’re told, the beta program “yielded great feedback”, but Anker engineers wanted extra time to implement changes, said the Anker spokesperson in an emailed statement.

The new timeframe is now looking at “mid to late April,” which shouldn’t be much longer. Apple HomeKit Secure Video will roll out in a firmware update for the following Anker security camera systems from its eufyCam 2 line up, which offer 1080p HD recording, no cloud storage fees, weatherproof rating, 2-way talk, human detection, activity zones and more:

Differences between the eufyCam 2 and 2C? The eufyCam 2 has a Sony Starvis sensor and a slightly wider 140-degree field of view (vs 135-degree on the 2C), 1 year of battery life (vs 6 months) and an anti-theft feature.
