Apple 2012 Q3 Earnings Call Set for July 24th: Will Revenue Top $34B?

Apple updated its Investor News page yesterday to indicate their 2012 Q3 earnings call will take place on July 24th.

Apple plans to conduct a conference call to discuss financial results of its third fiscal quarter on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. PT.

During the 2012 Q2 earnings call, Apple CFO Peter Oppenheimer noted the following for Q3:

“Looking ahead to the third fiscal quarter, we expect revenue of about $34 billion and diluted earnings per share of about $8.68.”

The second quarter achieved $39.2 billion in revenue, with 35.1 million iPhones sold alongside 11.8 million iPads. The year ago quarter in 2011 had 9.25 million iPads sold, a 183% increase from the year before in 2010. For 2012, with even more countries getting access to the iPad, we could quite possibly see more than 20 million units sold if growth is sustained.

It’s been unbelievable the amount of consistent growth Apple continues to report, a clear indication they are pushing out some remarkable products. Apple announced a refresh to their MacBook line up and introduced the new 15″ MacBook with Retina display at WWDC 2012. Given the ability of Apple’s supply chain to quickly move new products to customers, we could also hear about a spike in Mac sales. Stay tuned, as the Q3 quarter is set to be another monster.
