Apple this morning unleashed the unthinkable—$779 CAD headphones known as AirPods Max.

These headphones were rumoured as ‘AirPods Studio’ but we know them today as AirPods Max, which include all the features of AirPods Pro and are powered by H1 chips in each ear cup.

Apple’s website has two product videos that have yet to make it to the company’s YouTube channel, but because of the internet, you can check out the unofficial YouTube embeds below:

AirPods Max have nine microphones total, a Digital Crown for volume control and playback, plus a dedicated noise control button to switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode. You also get 20 hours of battery life and an included case that puts the headphones into a low power state (the case is already a meme), all in a price that’s only $779 in Canada ($550 in the USA).

Click here to buy AirPods Max on Apple.ca—they launch on December 15 and are slated to deliver before Christmas.
