Apple Has Completely Re-imagined the ‘Home’ App in iOS 16

Apple has completely re-imagined the native ‘Home’ app in iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, to make it even more efficient, reliable, and easier to navigate. 

The Home app has been rebuilt from the ground up in iOS 16. You can easily navigate all your smart home devices in the redesigned Home tab.

There are new categories for climate, lights, security, and more, which let you access relevant accessories with just a tap. There is also a new multi-camera view which puts your smart home cameras front and center.

Accessory tiles have also been redesigned to use shape and colour to indicate the status of each device, so you can control them directly through the icon, with detailed control gained by tapping the accessory name.

Apple also mentions that iOS 16 will bring support for Matter, the new smart home interoperability standard set to launch later this year.
