Apple Retail Stores Begin Posting Banners for Apple Watch, New MacBook Ahead of Launch

According to a report from AppleInsider, Apple Stores around the world have started putting up banners for the Apple Watch and new 12-inch MacBook with Retina display ahead of their April launch.

Apple started to install the new backlit displays on Thursday night, giving the company a chance to showcase their products before they launch. The image above shows the new in-store graphics in Apple’s retail store in Marbella, Spain (via Instagram). The graphics showcase the elegant design of the Apple Watch Edition, along with the various bands that will be available for the device.

In addition to the backlit displays showcasing the Apple Watch, the company has also started to install banners showcasing the new 12-inch MacBook. The graphics put an emphasis on the light and ultra-thin design of the laptop. Apple is also advertising the three colour options for the new MacBook, which include silver (standard raw anodized aluminium), space gray, and gold.

Apple is set to launch the new MacBook on April 10, which is the same day the company will begin Apple Watch preorders and in-store previews. The Apple Watch is set to hit store shelves on April 24 with a starting price tag of $449 (CAD). The new MacBook will start at $1,549 (CAD) for the base model, which includes a 1.1 GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.4 GHz, 8GB of memory, 256GB of flash storage and Intel HD Graphics 5300.
