Apple Wins Rights to Becky Read’s ‘The Fight Before Christmas’ Documentary, Premieres November

Apple has landed the global streaming rights of the documentary ‘The Fight Before Christmas’, the directorial debut from producer Becky Read. The documentary will make its way to Apple TV+ exclusively on November 26, 2021.

As Apple’s streaming war race continues, the company has sought after the rights of The Fight Before Christmas. According to Deadline, Apple successfully acquired the right and will soon bring the holiday-centric documentary to Apple TV+ just in time for the season.

The Fight Before Christmas recounts the story of a North Idaho neighbourhood that is home to the biggest community event the US has ever seen. All thanks to Jeremy Morris, a lawyer who is head over heels about the holiday plans the big blowout. However, the homeowners’ association catches wing of Morris’ plans and puts a wrench in the entire thing. Thus, a brewing fight emerges from it all.

The documentary is directed by Becky Read, who has produced projects such as ‘Three Identical Strangers,’ ‘The Trouble with Dad,’ and ‘No Man Left Behind.’ The Fight Before Christmas has been produced by Dorothy Street Pictures, with Julia Nottingham and Lisa Gomer Howes as producers, and Chris Smith signed on as executive producer.
