Apple To Begin Selling New 4″ iPod Touch & New iPod Nano On October 9 [Report]

Earlier today, some MacRumors forum readers had reported that their fifth-generation iPod touch early pre-orders statuses have now shifted to “Preparing for Shipment” which marks the final stage before being handed over to UPS or FedEx etc. for delivery. Now, a report by Japanese blog Macotakara is claiming that Apple will begin selling the new iPod touch and the new iPod nano on October 9th.

The source however notes that early supplies are likely to be quite limited:

Apple begins to sell iPod touch (5th generation) and iPod nano (7th generation) sequentially from October 9 (Japan).

There are considerably few numbers for the initial shipment and may be finished in the thing that made a reservation at store.

Apple unveiled the completely revamped 2012 iPod touch at last month’s media event. The fifth-gen iPod touch features a super-thin chassis with a 4-inch 1136 x 640 widescreen Retina display, a faster A5 processor, a 5 Megapixel iSight camera with LED flash and Panorama mode, a FaceTime HD camera, more powerful battery and the new Lightning dock connector. It will come in five different colors.

The 2012 iPod nano sports a 2.5-inch display with multi-touch, video playing abilities, FM radio, Nike fitness pedometer, and the new Lightning dock connector. It will also come in seven different colors.
