Apple has released the series premiere of ‘Foundation’ the new Apple TV+ original series. It is now available in Canada via the company’s streaming service.
Foundation is based on Issac Asimov’s book series of the same name and is a sci-fi drama, telling the story of a group of humans scattered throughout the galaxy. All are living under the rule of the Galactic Empire. Some begin to rise up and hatch a plan to take down the empire.
The series stars Lou Llobell, Laura Birn, Terrence Mann, Jared Harris, and Lee Pace. Foundation is produced by David S. Goyer, who has also penned the teleplay of two episodes. Series directors include Alex Graves, Roxann Dawson, Jennifer Phang, and Rupert Sanders.
Foundation is being primed to be a big deal for Apple TV+. With series production value and marketing, Apple seemingly hopes it’ll make a splash. With that in mind, Apple actually released the episode earlier than usual yesterday evening. Alongside the season two finale of ‘Ted Lasso’, Apple launched the series premiere of Foundation three hours early.
