Apple Watch Launch in Italy, Spain and More Said to Start May 8

Citing an anonymous internal source, iSpazio reports that Apple is preparing to accept Apple Watch pre-orders in Italy on May 8. The source claims stores have already received the blue T-Shirt for employees to sport at the launch of the highly anticipated product, while the table designed to showcase the wearable is set to arrive in about a week.

iSpazio administrator Fabiano Confuorto observed to MacRumors that this means Apple is set to kick-start pre-orders in the second wave countries on May 8. This includes Spain and a lot of other countries, which Confuourto didn’t specify.

You may recall that earlier last week the company had set up an Apple Watch pop-up store in a restaurant in Milano, as part of the renowned Fuori Salone Milano design week event. Phil Schiller and Jony Ive were spotted there on that day.

The launch scenario remains the same across second wave countries: Apple will take pre-orders exclusively online, while after the “launch” it will continue to take orders via its online store. After May 8, customers will be able to walk into an Apple Store and try on the Apple Watch of their choice.
