AppleCare Employee Vacation Blackouts Hint iPhone & iOS 7 Launch Imminent

According to a document which was shared with AppleInsider, AppleCare employees have been restricted from taking time off between September 15 through the 28.

Apple is expected to show off new iPhones and iOS 7 on September 10. If Apple follows its traditional launch schedule, they will make its new models available on the following Friday, September 20.

iOS 7 has been available to developers since the Worldwide Developers Conference in June. The public release of iOS 7 should follow within a week of the event.

Built-in apps and functions such as Photos, Weather, Multitasking, and Control Center which all have new designs may confuse some users at the start. With iOS 7 having a completely new look and plenty of new features, AppleCare employees will likely have their hands full.

Apple is expected to introduce an “iPhone 5S” with the same chassis as the current iPhone 5 but have all new internal components, along with a purported fingerprint sensor and dual-LED flash. Also possibly coming is an “iPhone 5C” with a plastic back that comes in multiple colors.

The iPhone is Apple’s most popular product, and for the first time ever the company is expected to launch two new models at the same time.
