AT&T Confirms Vacation Blackout Beginning September 21st

The anticipation for the new iPhone is huge.

With immense suspicion among September 21st being the iPhone 5’s release date, an AT&T sales representative has confirmed the company ruled a vacation blackout from September 21st to September 30th (via TechCrunch). This may sound familiar, as fellow U.S. carrier Verizon confirmed their blackout earlier this week.

Detailed from the source:

According to an AT&T sales rep, AT&T staff has been given a vacation blackout from September 21 to September 30, just like Verizon employees. Our source also mentioned that blue carrier employees are undergoing training for an “iconic release.”

Earlier this month BGR had received similar information from a ‘trusted’ AT&T source. The source just wasn’t able to pinpoint the exact date, as we have seen lately.

Whereas September 21st may seem a millennium away, users will only have to wait until the unconfirmed September 12th event to see what the iPhone 5 has to offer. Any day now Apple should announce the supposed keynote.

Are you convinced the release date is September 21st yet; or will you need more proof?
