The Sonos Move is the company’s durable, battery-powered smart speaker with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi that can withstand the elements (IP56 rating) for both indoor and outdoor listening. It can survive drops, supports Apple AirPlay 2, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
“The portable Sonos Move now comes in a lighter color to complement your home and withstand the elements for outdoor listening,” explains Sonos.
A recent software update for the Sonos Move also adds one extra hour of battery, now at 11 hours on a single charge. The Sonos Move is the company’s only speaker to feature automatic Trueplay tuning, which has the speaker adapt sound by itself based on your environment.
The Sonos Move in our testing was a formidable speaker that was able to withstand the elements (it was left out overnight in the rain and was fine the next day). It’s pricey but offers booming portable sound for those seeking an outdoor speaker from Sonos.
