Spotify Rolls Out ‘Daily Wellness’ Playlist Geared Towards Self-Care and Mindfulness

Spotify is hoping it can help you feel a bit more relaxed in these trying times by introducing a mix of music and podcasts geared towards self-care and wellness.

According to a new press release, the Swedish streaming service has launched the Daily Wellness mix, which is composed of what Spotify describes as a “mindful” mix of music and podcasts, refreshed morning and night.

Spotify said the updates are based on users’ unique listening habits and preferences, and the focus is on upbeat, motivational content in the morning, and on more relaxing fare in the evening.

Morning content will include inspirational podcasts such as Daily Quote and Yoga Girl Daily, along with personalized music, while the evening will feature content such as Daily Breath With Deepak Chopra, poetry from The Slowdown, and more relaxing tracks.

Spotify said in the blog post: “Taking a moment—or two—for yourself is especially important these days. Yet wellness is deeply personal. Some center their wellness around eating healthy and exercising, while others focus on positive thinking and small acts of self-care. With that in mind, Spotify is introducing Daily Wellness, a personalized mix of grounding motivational podcasts and feel-good music that can help you find positivity, mindfulness or peace throughout your day.”

Daily Wellness’ exact contents depends on your listening habits and preferences — hopefully, that means you won’t have to listen to self-help podcasts that aren’t quite up your alley. It sounds like the morning playlist is meant to help you wake up while the evening one is meant to help you wind down.

The Daily Wellness mix is currently available to free and premium users in the UK and US via the “Made for You” hub on mobile, web, and desktop. No word on when this will expand to Canada just yet.
