DoorDash is yet another restaurant delivery service which supports mobile ordering and today it has announced its launch in Ottawa, Ontario, to offer delivery from over 1,100 local restaurants.
The San Francisco-based company says its service currently operates in over 850 cities across Canada.
Starting today, DoorDash says it will support deliveries in Ottawa, Kanata, and Nepean, and in neighbourhoods including Old Ottawa South, Carlington, Westboro, Byward Market, The Glebe, Centerpointe, Bayshore, Stittsville, Sandy Hill, Little Italy, Lower Town, and the University of Ottawa.
DoorDash deliveries in these areas can order between the hours of 11AM and 10PM from a variety of restaurants.
Promos to Celebrate Ottawa Launch
New DoorDash users can get their first deliveries free, while existing users can get $1.99 deliveries for the next month. Meanwhile, coupon code OTTAWADASH will save users $5 off orders of $15 or more, good until July 19, 2018.
“As Canada’s capital city, Ottawa was a really attractive market for us due to its rich cultural heritage, younger demographic, and thriving urban scene,” said Tony Xu, CEO and Co-founder of DoorDash, in a press release. “We are thrilled to be bringing this lively city door-to-door delivery.”
Back in February, DoorDash expanded to the Greater Toronto Area.
