Nintendo has announced a partnership with LINE to bring its classic puzzle game Dr. Mario World to smartphones, coming to iOS and Android this summer.
The specific timeline, according to both companies is “an early summer 2019 global release,” with Dr. Mario World being a free download with optional in-app purchases. NHN Entertainment is also a partner in the development and operation of the game.
The game will be available in 60 countries including the US and Japan, while also supporting multiple languages.
Dr. Mario World originally launched back in 1990 and is a falling block puzzle game, where users need to align pills by colour to make viruses disappear.
