No Frills Giveaway: 50 Million PC Optimum Points by Playing this Video Game

Hauler aisles of glory

No Frills has launched a new marketing campaign to let customers earn 500 free PC Optimum points per day, until 50,000,000 points are given away.

To earn your 500 free points per day, you need to play a video game called Hauler: Aisles of Glory. Below is what the game is all about:

The objective of this single player, side-scrolling game is to train for your next haul by choosing a character and assuming the role of a Hauler. The Hauler will run seamlessly through the produce, packaged goods, bakery and meat aisles of your local No Frills store to earn points for hauling grocery items (Hauls) gaining Power Ups, while avoiding pesky Frills and treacherous Obstacles. You choose a character and assume the role of a Hauler. Your Hauler will start each game with 3 lives.

Players can earn points through three tiers:

  • 100 points – toilet paper, laundry detergent, strawberries, no name canned chickpeas, bananas, and chicken
  • 300 points – bag of Naturally Imperfect ™ red/orange/green peppers, PC Organics frozen pizza, and an apple
  • 600 points – avocado, President’s Choice The Decadent ® chocolate chip cookies, and steak

However, by just playing the game, you will earn 500 PC Optimum points per day, awarded to customers until 50 million total points are given away. Your points earned will show in your PC Optimum account roughly two weeks after playing the game.

There’s also a leaderboard showing the top players in the game, so it gets people competing for bragging rights.

500 PC Optimum points are worth $0.50…so if you save 50 cents today and 50 cents tomorrow, you can hit up that dollar store, son. Play the game for one week and you’ll have yourself a cool $3.50 worth of points, which is the cheapest form of marketing ever for No Frills.
