GameStop Corp., the parent company of EB Games, says locations of the latter in Canada will rebrand to GameStop by the end of this year.

The Grapevine, Texas-based company says EB Games Canadian locations and online store will get the new GameStop brand and name. “This decision follows our receipt of feedback from our valued customers and stockholders,” explained a press release on Wednesday.

The @EBGamesCanada Twitter account has already been shut down, with the description pointing customers to the new account @GameStop_Canada which has still yet to go active. The EB Games Canada Facebook page no longer is working either.

As of writing, the online store at ebgames.ca is still up and running.

This year, GameStop Corp.’s stock has been targeted by Reddit meme stock traders, who have pushed the price up 880% year to date, currently trading at $169.42 USD per share.

The largest shareholder of GameStop, Ryan Cohen, joined the company’s board in January and took the position of chairman in June. The company is pursuing a plan to improve and fast-track online sales and revitalize brick and mortar locations.
