EcoFax iOS App Lets You Send a Fax From iPhone, Plants a Tree for Paper Usage

Keeping the mind over 40 million active fax machines in the US alone, Truligent has released a new EcoFax app for iOS that lets you send a fax right from your iPhone. As the name implies, the app serves as the easiest and most reliable way to send a fax in seconds, without requiring a fax machine.

To send a fax, all you have to do is upload your document, or scan it using your iPhone camera, enter the recipient’s number and hit send. The rest will be done automatically.

Best of all, the developers are giving back to nature. At the end of each month, EcoFax plants trees to compensate for all the paper that was used to deliver faxes sent by our users.

Fax requires paper, and to offset this, EcoFax plants trees on your behalf.

One tree can produce up to 10,000-20,000 sheets of paper. The global consumptions of trees that are cut for paper is about 2.47 million every single day.

We’ve partnered with Trees for the Future Foundation (Trees.org). From each in-app purchase, we will donate an amount so that the trees will be planted.

EcoFax is partly backed by Denys Zhadanov, known for his role on Readdle’s leadership team. This app is not linked to Readdle but is one of his new ventures.
