Edison Mail Now Available to All on Mac App Store

A new Medium post from Edison explains that the invite-only mail app is now available to all users.

“We’ve been working night and day to ensure that the Edison Mac app experience is incredible for all our consumers,” reads the post. “Available for Yahoo, Gmail, Outlook accounts, and more, Edison offers a universal inbox that keeps all emails from multiple accounts in a single place. This means no more jumping from inbox to inbox in order to see messages in your different accounts.”

Edison Mail was first released an invite-only late last year, and demand for early access reached over 60,000 users immediately. The app itself was designed to simplify daily email frustrations such as managing multiple email accounts, eliminating junk mail, blocking ad tracking, all in a more accessible, minimalist design. Edison also features convenient additions like one-tap Unsubscribe, Email Threading, Dark Mode, Templates, and customizable keyboard shortcuts.

“Lightning fast, intuitively designed, simple UI. Edison Mail for Mac was crafted to make your email experience faster and better organized than ever before,” explains Edison. “We’ve recalibrated beloved Edison Mail mobile features for optimal use on the Mac. Extremely customizable, Edison Mail for Mac is compatible with just about every email service, including Gmail, IMAP, iCloud, Yahoo! Mail, Outlook, Comcast, AOL, AT&T, and many other mail accounts.”

With the new version, Edison is adding a number of new feature, including a “Focused Inbox” that contains only important conversations, filtering everything else out to different folders. Another feature, called “Today Folder,” will collect all messages that were received in a given day, allowing users to focus on the day at hand. The final new feature is a mute for specific senders, allowing users to hide messages from a certain person without affecting the rest of their inbox.

Edison Mail for Mac is now available for all on the Mac App Store.
