Shared by Reddit user squall_boy258, a handy little tip lets you perform a quick Google search with the built-in Spotlight feature on MacOS. This way, you will not need to open Safari, wait for the Google homepage to load, enter the search term and hit Enter.
Here’s what you need to do:
Step 1:
On the dashboard, hit CMD + Space to bring up the Spotlight
Step 2:
Now enter your search term. Do not hit Enter.
Step 3:
Instead, hit CMD + B on your keyboard. This will automatically open a new tab/window in Safari with the search results in Google.
That’s it. You can now perform a Google search right from Spotlight on your Mac.
