Google Announces ‘Spaces’ Teamwork App for iOS, Android and Desktop

Google has today announced the launch of a new Spaces multi-platform app which lets people get people together instantly to share around any topic, and is available for iOS, Android, desktop and mobile web for all Gmail accounts. The new app makes it simple to find and share articles, videos and images without leaving the app since Google Search, YouTube and Chrome come built in.

Google spaces

Spaces has the ability to create rooms or “spaces” on topics. You can create a space based on a topic then invite users via messaging, email, social network, or whatever way you like. Inside a space, users are able to share all kinds of media, including articles, videos, comments, images and more. Users are also able to search for key words inside a space and find items posted in the past.

“We’ll also be experimenting with Spaces this week at Google I/O. We’ve created a space for each session so that developers can connect with each other and Googlers around topics at I/O, and we’ve got a few surprises too. If you’re joining us in person at I/O, make sure you install Spaces on Android or iOS before you arrive.

The app is rolling out today and can be downloaded for your mobile or desktop device at this link.
