Guitar Hero Live Controller Canadian Pricing: $129.95 from Apple [u]

Last week Guitar Hero Live hit the App Store, the next platform for the popular franchise, now available for iOS and the Apple TV (4th gen) which launched today.

The Bluetooth guitar accessory was only available from T-Mobile in the USA at the time of announcement, but now Canadians can rejoice as Apple.ca has listed the device for $129.95 CAD ($99.95 USD).

The Bluetooth guitar—which takes AA batteries—has a new 2 x 3 button layout to appeal to both beginners and expert Guitar Hero players.

Guitar Hero Live for iOS is a free download, but has in-app purchases:

  • $57.99: Unlock full digital game
  • $6.99 Party Pass (24 hours)
  • $1.19 Party Pass (30 mins)

Update: the guitar hardware comes included with the game; the in-app purchases are for touch-based play on an iOS device only.

The availability is currently “unavailable”, but once new Apple TV units ordered today start to ship, one would expect this to change, and it should hit retail stores as well. Let us know if you’re going to pick this up once it becomes available.
