How to: Hide Any App in iOS 9.3 on iPhone, No Jailbreak Needed [VIDEO]

Jose Rodriguez messages us all the time with his iOS ‘hacks’ and his latest discovery allows any iPhone user on stock iOS 9.3 to hide any app icon (no jailbreak needed), making it disappear from plain sight, but still searchable via Spotlight or Siri.

We’ve confirmed the trick does indeed work, as we were able to replicate it on our iPhone 6s Plus running iOS 9.3. How to get the icon back? Just reboot your device and it’ll reappear.

YouTube channel iTwea4kz illustrates clearly how this hack works on iOS 9.3—check it out below:

Again, here are the steps to hide any icon on your iPhone in iOS 9.3:

1. Make sure your first home screen page is full of apps, and your dock as well.

2. Tap and hold on the app you want to hide to toggle ‘wiggle’ mode, drag the app to the first page and into another app to make a folder. Keep holding, then drag the app out of the folder, slide it into the dock area (for a second), then let go. If done properly, the app will disappear.

Why would you want to do this? If you have apps you don’t want your friends and family to see, it could be one way to keep them private, for example.

It took us a couple tries to get it right, but it works. Let us know if you’re able to hide your iPhone icons with this trick! And Jose, keep discovering these tricks, I’m not sure how you stumble across them all the time.
