iFixit Begins Teardown of the iPhone 4S

The folks from iFixit have their hands on the iPhone 4S, and as always they are going to proceed to teardown the phone with surgeon-like precision. They started off by ‘talking’ to Siri:

iFixit: “Siri, may we disassemble you for all to see?”

iPhone 4S (Siri): “42”

iFixit: “I didn’t ask for the meaning of life, Siri…”

iPhone 4S (Siri): “42 is the number of seconds you have left until I initiate the self-destruct sequence…”

iFixit: “Message received.”

Early discoveries reveal Pentalobe screws on the bottom of the phone (again), and a different battery with a whopping extra .05 WHrs compared to the iPhone 4. Right now, there are two pages of teardown images but expect more to come later into the day.
