Google is Killing Off Inbox by Gmail in March 2019

Inbox by Gmail, an email experiment by Google is set to go the way of the dodo bird. Google has announced they will eliminate Inbox by Gmail in March of next year:

As we look to the future, we want to take a more focused approach that will help us bring the best email experience to everyone. As a result, we’re planning to focus solely on Gmail and say goodbye to Inbox by Gmail at the end of March 2019.

Inbox by Gmail launched in 2014 and Google says the new experiences from the latter have made their way into the new Gmail, which debuted this past April.

Google says the new Gmail now has features found in Inbox by Gmail, such as the ability to snooze emails, follow up nudges, hover actions (on the web) and smart reply. To help with move, Google has released a quick transition guide for Inbox by Gmail users.
