Apple Fixes iOS 12 Update Available Popup Bug with Beta 12 for Developers, Public Beta
iOS 12 beta testers recently were plagued with a popup bug informing them an update was available, only to find out it was fake news.
The popup would read, “A new iOS update is now available. Please update from the iOS 12 beta.” However, once you go to your device Settings and Software Update, it says you’re up-to-date.
What’s the reason for this bug? According to iOS developer Guilherme Rambo, he explains the following:
It looks like this method in Springboard does some date/time calculations to determine if the current build is about to expire, every time the cover sheet gets dismissed. For some reason, the latest builds of iOS 12 think they’re about to expire.

You can now fix this bug by installing iOS 12 beta 12 for developers, and the equivalent version for Public beta testers, in the form of beta 10, which was just released:
You can find this update by going to Settings > General > Software Update on your iOS device.
So @_inside asked for a song about the annoying "A NEW IOS UPDATE IS NOW AVAILABLE PLEASE UPDATE FROM THE IOS 12 BETA" pop up prompt.
I am happy to oblige.
(Coincidentally, you can hire me to do this sort of thing for your meeting or event: https://t.co/ANIOm2xvfU) pic.twitter.com/wRq4FhxUG6
