Apple’s iPhone 11 Can ‘Glow’ in the Dark [PICS]

Iphone 11 glows

The back of Apple’s iPhone 11 (the successor to the iPhone XR) is a single piece of glass with a raised camera bump, from this same sheet of glass.

Alongside two cameras, the iPhone 11 flash is surrounded by glass within this bump, and when turned on in a dark room, the light spans across the entire phone, creating a really cool glow in the dark effect.

Users on Reddit shared how the iPhone 11 ‘glowing in the dark’ can look pretty cool, and we were able to similarly simulate the effect in the images taken within this post.

We covered the flash in our images with a piece of cardboard to provide a better look at the back of a Green iPhone 11 and it looks pretty cool:

Here’s a video shared on Reddit providing a better look at how this glowing effect looks from the sides:

Apple’s iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have frosted glass backs, so this effect doesn’t work on these higher-end models.

What’s the point of this? It means you can cover your iPhone 11 flash with gaffer tape, head out at night with your flash on and just look like a really cool person with a glowing iPhone. Come on, just do it.
