Tomorrow marks the first of September and that means the new iPhone season is almost here. A new report from Digitimes is again adding weight to a previous rumour we may see a new iPhone 12 colour in blue.

“In addition to adding a dark blue model, for the first time, into the iPhone family products, Apple also brings a number of specification upgrades to new iPhones, including camera modules, displays and communications modules,” reports the Asian publication.

Digitimes says new iPhone 12 models will support Face ID as expected and also mmWave 5G support. The flagship iPhone 12 will include a “ToF camera and the wide-angle lens of its rear camera will also come with sensor-shift optical image stabilization functionality.”

The publication’s research says new iPhone shipments are expected to hit 63-68 million units in the second half of 2020, which is five million less compared to last year’s iPhone 11 expectations.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumours of a blue iPhone 12. Way back in January, EverythingApplePro and Max Weinbach said this year’s flagship iPhone would come in a navy blue finish, replacing the Midnight Green from last year’s iPhone 11 Pro models.
