iPhone 13 Rumours: Same Design, But Flush Rear Camera Unit

According to Japanese blog Macotakara, the iPhone 13 will come as a four-product ensemble like the iPhone 12, with each member slightly thicker than its predecessor.

The information comes from the latest details Apple has provided to its Chinese suppliers. Unnamed sources revealed that each variant of the iPhone 13 would maintain the same height and width as its predecessor from the iPhone 12 family, but be 0.26 mm thicker.

As for the rear snapper, Apple will take the same approach they did with the iPad Pro 2021 — the entire camera unit will be covered by sapphire crystal for added scratch-resistance, and the unit itself will see an increase in size of about 0.9 mm on each phone.

The iPhone 13 Pro’s camera unit is rumoured to be the same size as the Pro Max’s, which means the iPhone 13 Pro’s wide-angle lens could have sensor-shift Optical Image Stabilization as well.

The iPhone 13 is rumoured to keep the iPhone 12’s notch (while improving on it), and a source said the iPhone 13 will see the receiver moved to the very end of the notch, making the TrueDepth camera thinner as compared to its predecessor.
