Nintendo’s Mario Kart Tour, which became the company’s biggest mobile launch with a staggering 90 million downloads in its first week last year before surpassing 123.9 million downloads milestone in its first month, has finally received the much-awaited landscape mode on iOS and Android.
The game was previously playable in portrait mode only. But after adding multiplayer earlier this year, Nintendo has now made the game playable in landscape mode which also offers a new control layout. Gamers also have the option to flip between portrait and landscape while playing Mario Kart Tour (via Engadget).
“Mario and friends go global in this new Mario Kart as they race around courses inspired by real-world cities in addition to classic Mario Kart courses.
These destinations will be featured in tours that rotate every two weeks! In addition to courses based on iconic locales, some of your favorite Mario Kart characters will get variations that incorporate the local flavor of cities featured in the game.”
