Microsoft has just unveiled its new and improved Surface Pro 8 2-in-1 Windows machine, featuring a larger 13-inch touchscreen display and narrower bezels. It features 11th-gen Intel Core processors with active cooling and Thunderbolt 4 ports for productivity.
The Surface Pro 8’s display has an adaptive colour feature that adjusts the white balance to make viewing more comfortable, much like Apple’s MacBooks. The screen also has a dynamic refresh rate of up to 120Hz, which can help save battery life and makes scrolling smoother.
An optional $180 detachable keyboard has a spot to stow away and charge the new Slim Pen. Buyers can configure the new system with 11th-generation Intel Core chips and as much as 32GB of RAM. Microsoft claims Pro 8 gets as much as 16 hours of battery life, compared with up to 10.5 hours on the Pro 7.
Microsoft Surface Pro 8 starts at CAD $1,399 and will be available in Canada on October 21, 2021 at 9:00 AM.
