Netflix Offers Select Shows and Movies Without the Need of a Subscription

Netflix is offering a small number of movies and original series to watch for free without an account. This promotion is said to be in effect to gain additional subscribers who may be on the fence about signing up for the content streaming service.

A handful of Netflix’s original content has become available to watch for free, according to Gadget 360. The list of free titles in the promotion includes ‘Stranger Things’, ‘Murder Mystery’, ‘Élite’, ‘Boss Baby: Back in Business’, ‘Bird Box’, ‘When They See Us’, ‘Love Is Blind’, ‘The Two Popes’, ‘Our Planet’, and ‘Grace and Frankie’. Though, many of the show offered through this promotion only give access to the first episode as a taste of the series as a whole.

To access this promotion, users must navigate the Netflix web address, which catalogues all titles being offered. Currently, Windows PC, Macs, and Android devices are being supported. Unfortunately, smart TVs, Fire Stick, and iOS devices are not being supported.

While speaking to Gadget 360, a Netflix spokesperson told the outlet that it is “looking at different marketing promotions to attract new members and give them a great Netflix experience.”

In the past, Netflix has offered free content to stream, though it was done regionally. Last year, Netflix offered the first episode of ‘Bard of Blood’ in India. Additionally, season two of ‘Élite’ was offered in parts of Latin America and ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved’ in the US. However, this promotion is running globally.

It’s currently unknown how long this promotion will be in effect so best to get in on it while you can.
