Samsung’s U.S. support website says:
Due to technical limitations, Netflix will no longer be supported on 2010 and 2011 TVs beginning on December 1st, 2019. If you have one of the affected models, you may see a message on your TV indicating that Netflix will no longer be available on this device. You’ll still be able to watch Netflix on your TV by connecting another device with Netflix on it.
As for Vizio, smart TVs four years or older will lose Netflix support as of December, 2019 as well, reports Cord Cutters. If your Vizio smart TV has a pop-up warning saying Netflix is ending on December 1, you know you’ll be affected.
Older Roku players are also affected by this, including first-generation players made in 2011 or earlier, set to similarly lose Netflix access on December 1.
What to do if your TV is set to lose Netflix support? The easy way is to buy a relatively affordable Amazon Fire TV stick ($49.99 CAD) or Roku stick ($44.99 CAD), which supports Netflix, Apple TV+, Disney+ (Nov. 12!) and more, to bring the latest media apps to your aging television.
