Nintendo Utilizing Microsoft Teams with New Nintendo Switch Concierge Service

Nintendo has partnered with Microsoft to launch a new service for Switch owners. The Nintendo Switch Concierge program connects Switch owners with Nintendo representatives in one-on-one calls.

Nintendo and Microsoft have collaborated in the past. Many players were elated when the news hit that Xbox second-party game Ori and the Blind Forest and its sequel Ori and the Will of the Wisps launched on the Switch. Banjo and Kazooie, characters owned by Xbox Game Studios’ Rare, are also featured in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This led many to speculate when the two publishers and console makers would make their next partnership.

It’s now been reported by TechRadar that Nintendo’s new concierge service is being rolled out and connects Switch owners with a Nintendo rep over Microsoft Teams video calls. While this may not be the collaboration many had hoped for, it demonstrates the ongoing connection between the two companies.

The Nintendo Switch Concierge service is a free program offered to Switch owners. Customers and players can schedule a one-on-one meeting with a representative and ask any burning questions they may have on the product and services offered by Nintendo. In a way, it’s reminiscent of the Nintendo Power Line service, where players could call in and get hints for the game they are playing.

However, The Nintendo Switch Concierge isn’t as granular. The service will cover top-level subjects. Within the Nintendo Switch Concierge website, customers can schedule their meetings and choose from a number of select topics. The topics include Nintendo Switch 101, Games (What to Play Next), and Security and Privacy. Each meeting will have a 30-minute duration.

The service is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Attendees will receive a confirmation email confirming the date and time of their Microsoft Teams video call. Nintendo does state that the service is only available in the US. However, we have been able to schedule a meeting. Time slots are still available at the time of writing.
