On Tuesday the RCMP reported that it seized two stun guns which were disguised to look like iPhones.

The RCMP in an Alberta foothills community have been advising residents that something that looks like a smartphone could really be a weapon. Here is a description of how both seizures were made:

The first seizure was made after a complaint that someone was trying to sell a conducted energy device online.

Less than 24 hours later, officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance outside a bar in the Hinton area.

Angela James, who is 28 years of age, has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon. She will be making her first court appearance on July 2.

Apple is expected to announce two models of the iPhone 6 this year, one with a 4.7-inch display and another with a slightly larger 5.5-inch display. Both devices are rumoured to include the A8 CPU and come in at 6 millimetres thick.

The next-generation iPhone will reportedly be announced this fall alongside the public release of iOS 8.
