Roku and Walmart Canada Launch Line of Televisions Priced from $178

Roku and Walmart Canada announced on Wednesday the launch of onn. Roku TV models, are exclusively available from the retailer’s stores and online store.

According to both companies, the launch of these televisions are “just in time for Father’s Day” and offers affordable price points to Walmart Canada’s customers, starting at $178 for a 24-inch TV.

Onn. TV models powered by Roku will be available in sizes from 24 to 75-inches, with the latter priced from $898.

“We are excited to expand Roku’s presence in the TV market with the launch of onn. Roku TV in Walmart Canada stores, said Marcin Lempka, Director Business Development at Roku, in a statement to iPhone in Canada. “Canadian consumers can enjoy all their favourite entertainment and more, conveniently on the onn. Roku TV, making for a more seamless experience. This is an accessible solution for Canadians looking to upgrade their TV without sacrificing quality.”

“The onn. Roku TV is a terrific addition to Walmart’s TV product lineup,” said Mallory Craigmile, Senior Director of Electronics at Walmart Canada, in a statement. “Our partnership with Roku represents our continued commitment to providing our customers with the latest, must-have technology at low prices.”

The retailer’s oddly-named onn. brand also makes tablets and computer monitors, and now televisions.

Walmart says onn. televisions powered by Roku include a 2-year manufacturer warranty and have full access to The Roku Channel, plus include a Roku remote and access to the Roku mobile app.
