Roku Announces 2019 Streaming Players, Adds 14 Live Channels in Canada

Roku has announced its 2019 streaming media players for Canada, along with the addition of 14 live linear channels.

The Roku Express, which offers HD streaming and includes a remote, gets redesigned and is now 10% smaller compared to its predecessor, priced at $39.99 CAD. Included is a high speed HDMI cable and power cord.

The Roku Premiere offers HD, 4K Ultra HD or 4K HDR streaming, includes a Premium High Speed HDMI cable, remote and power cord, priced at $49.99 CAD.

The Roku Streaming Stick+ with its voice remote, HD/4K Ultra HDR/4K HDR streaming, plus extended wireless receiver, remains for 2019, priced at $89.99 CAD.

“We are delivering more value and improved picture quality across the new 2019 streaming player line up for Canada.The Roku Premiere delivers 4K HDR for a more immersive TV experience,” said Lloyd Klarke, Director Product Management at Roku, in an issued statement to iPhone in Canada. “Whether you are new to streaming or demand more advanced features such as better Wi-Fi, 4K HDR and voice search, we have the right streaming player for everyone.”


The Roku Channel Gains Live Channels

Launched in 2018, The Roku Channel offers free movies, TV shows and documentaries without fees or subscriptions. Coming soon will be 14 live linear channels, as seen below:
