Samsung Teases Galaxy S21 in New Video

Samsung is prepping everyone for the reveal of its next flagship device by releasing a Galaxy S21 teaser. The video has flown a bit under the radar as Samsung has it currently set to unlisted on YouTube.

Rumours have been floating about what to expect from Samsung’s Galaxy S21. Though, while we’ve been able to gauge a few things from previous reports, Samsung has not officially announced the device. That all might change as Samsung is now teasing the existence of its new device.

The video, which was spotted by 9to5Google, opens with the phrase “New year, new ways to express yourself.” Samsung then transitions into an illustrated timeline of the evolution of the Galaxy S smartphones. This short sequence begins with the first model, which released in 2010, and transitions all the way to 2020’s Galaxy S20. The video then ends with the words “A new Galaxy awaits”.

Of course, Samsung does not divulge any additional details. There’s no hint at the S21’s design in any capacity. Additionally, Samsung makes no mention of when the device will be formally announced outside of the window of 2021.

Previous reports have given us a fairly good understanding of what Samsung may have up its sleeve. Photo renders of the device released and showed the S21 maintaining the overall design of the S20, including the hole-punch front-facing camera. Additionally, the rear camera array appears to have a new sensor or a fifth camera.  Additionally, Samsung may take a page from Apple and ship the S21 without earbuds and a charger. However, all that is still up in the air until Samsung officially reveals the device.
