Scotiabank Launches Digital Banking Info Hub for Seniors

To kick off Senior’s month for June, Scotiabank has announced a new information hub for seniors called Bank Your Way.

The new digital banking hub provides basic information on how seniors can bank digitally to check account balances, pay bills, transferring money, sending e-Transfers and also using the company’s mobile apps.

“Scotiabank recognizes the role communities play in keeping our seniors healthy and engaged, so we’re taking extra effort to support them through our COVID-19 response actions,” said Dan Rees, Group Head of Canadian Banking, Scotiabank, in a statement.

The Bank Your Way digital hub has a simple layout, while also offers a series of videos explaining how to get started with digital banking on Scotiabank.ca. Five suggestions to get started with digital banking include:

  • Signing in for the first time
  • Send money to friends and family
  • Paying bills and credit cards s
  • Depositing cheques
  • Checking account balances

“We’ve launched Bank Your Way as an additional way to support seniors, and all our customers, become more comfortable with banking without having to leave home. We encourage all our customers to visit Bank Your Way to get online and learn about all the tools and advice available to them,” added Rees.

Scotiabank says the new digital hub for seniors comes at a time when it “will be particularly useful as customers navigate the challenges presented by COVID-19.”
