The Sonos Beam has launched sales in Canada and worldwide today, as the sound bar powered by Alexa is now available for purchase at $499 CAD from Sonos.com, Amazon.ca and other retailers.
This compact sound bar was unveiled last month at a Sonos event in San Francisco, where the company detailed how customers can use Alexa to control their compatible televisions with their voice, such as turning units on or off and controlling volume.
Sonos Beam has touch controls and can be added and paired to other speakers in the Sonos family, such as a pair of Ones, the company’s SUB or a set of Play:1 speakers, to build your home theatre.
Sonos says the Beam is essentially three products in one, as it can be your television’s sound bar, living room’s music player and also a smart speaker, leveraging the company’s work from the Sonos One (on sale right now for $199).
Beam also supports Apple AirPlay 2 and recently, Audible on Sonos can now be controlled with your voice using Alexa.
