Spotify Free, the streaming music service’s ad-supported service, can now be streamed to Amazon Alexa devices by using your voice.
According to Spotify, Amazon Alexa users in Canada can say something like, “Alexa, play Listening Together on Spotify,” in what the company says is a “seamless, easy and frictionless way to listen to your favourite music, no hands needed.”
The changes today added Canada, along with the U.K., Ireland, Brazil, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, and Mexico, to stream Spotify Free through Amazon Alexa, according to a Spotify spokesperson.
Spotify Free debuted last fall for users with Amazon Alexa, Sonos and Bose speakers in the United States, Australia and New Zealand only. Today’s announcement adds Spotify Free for Alexa users in Canada and more.
