Spotify App Update Brings Siri Support for Apple Watch

Music streaming giant Spotify has just updated its official iOS app to bring Siri support to Apple Watches. The feature is, however, only supported on Apple Watches running watchOS 6 (via 9to5Mac).

While Spotify for Apple Watch has been available for nearly two years now, the app has been lacking some basic features such as offline playback, and support for Siri. Spotify for iOS also received Siri support last fall following the release of iOS 13 and now, the feature has finally made to watch OS.

According to the release notes for Spotify app version 8.5.52, to use Siri with the music service on Apple Watch users can say, “Hey Siri, Play music on Spotify,” or just add “on Spotify” to any voice command to play content.
