Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is Now Available on Disney+ for Star Wars Day

May the Fourth be with you. Today marks the annual Star Wars celebration. To commemorate this year’s occasion, Disney has now released Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker to Disney+.

Wrapping up the ‘Skywalker Saga’, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker joins Disney+ alongside the preceding eight films in the core franchise. If binge-watching through Star Wars: The Phantom Menace all the way through to Episode IX wasn’t enough, Disney+ has included a lineup of extra content, including a two-hour documentary titled ‘The Skywalker Legacy’.

Of course, the nine-core films are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Star Wars content on Disney+. The final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars has been airing weekly and the final episode has been released as well.

The Mandalorian, which was critically praised upon its initial release in 2019 gained a follow-up documentary series called Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. The first episode was released today and follows creator Jon Favreau and season one’s directors as “they pull back the curtain on The Mandalorian”. Seven more episodes will roll out on a week by week basis.

While that may be all for the new Star Wars content, there’s always the spin-off movies such as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Star Wars Resistance and Star Wars Rebels are also available to watch on Disney+.

With all that said, grab a glass of blue milk and dive in. Click here to sign up for Disney+, it costs $8.99 per month in Canada after a free trial period.
