Hasso-Plattner-Institut has developed ‘Imaginary Phone’, a technology that enables users to control their mobile device without actually touching the device!
Instead of holding a mobile device, users simply mimic the interaction of using a device on the palm of their hand. The technology works by having users wear a depth camera that sends input events to the actual device.
In the video, the demo shows a user mimicking the layout of an iPhone and the actual device following along with the mimicked movements. Amazing!
