The Walking Dead TV show has been a big hit for AMC and the creator of the comic, Robert Kirkman. They are further expanding the franchise into video games. There is a Facebook game coming out in April, as well as a console game from Telltale Games, which will be available on Xbox LIVE, PSN, and PC.
TouchArcade is now reporting that the game may be coming to iOS, shortly after this initial release:
Word on the street is that we should be expecting the games to release across iOS in April, perhaps a little after the XBLA, PC, PSN, and Macintosh versions launch.
Here is Telltale Games’ official trailer for the upcoming game. A warning though: even just the trailer is quite graphic and has some coarse language:
Personally, I am a big fan of this franchise. I really enjoyed the AMC TV series, so far, and looks like it’s only going to get better. I also enjoy the horror video game genre, so I would definitely play The Walking Dead game on my iPhone or iPad. We don’t really know any details about how the game plays yet, even on the consoles, so we’ll have to wait and see what kind of gaming experience this will be.
