Besides visiting China later this month, Apple will stop in the Netherlands to speak at the Startup Fest Europe, a week long Festival that will take place in Amsterdam between 24 – 28 May 2016. Its organisers describe it as a European festival of events that help startups grow faster by bringing together founders, investors, business leaders, and developers around specific themes (via MacRumors).

Tim Cook will take the stage on the first day of the festival at 11:10 a.m. for about 35 minutes to talk about an as yet unspecified topic.

Tim Cook (Apple) and Travis Kalanick (Uber) have accepted their invitation to come to the Netherlands with great enthusiasm. Neelie Kroes (special envoy StartupDelta) personally invited Cook and Kalanick during her visit to San Francisco together with Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

Alongside the Apple CEO, the Startup Fest Europe features other international keynote speakers, such as Uber co-founder and CEO Travis Kalanick, Alphabet chairman Eric Schmidt, co-founder and CEO of Adyen Peter van der Does, Seedcamp founder Reshma Sohomi, Airbnb CTO Nathan Blechardczyck, booking.com COO Gillian Tans, Elastic co-founder and CEO Steven Schuurman, and more.

Those interested in the event can buy tickets – price: €995 – here. Startups can apply for a discount code or free admission to Startup Garden here.
