Waze, Clinia Partner to Help Canadians Navigate to COVID-19 Testing Centres

“We built a comprehensive testing centre database of trusted, national sources of reliable data about where to find COVID-19 assessment centres,” said Clinia CEO, Simon Bédard. “We are excited to make this critical healthcare data easily available to all Canadians.”

Drawing upon information from public health departments, Clinia developed a directory of testing and screening locations across Canada. The database, with more than 340 data points, was integrated into Waze in July, with the data being refreshed a few times a week.

“The pandemic presents people with a lot of decisions to make, and novel situations to navigate,” said Dani Simons, Head of Public Sector Partnerships, Waze. “Clinia’s data will make itfaster and easier to plan a trip to a testing location. We’re glad to be able to work with them on this initiative and help people access testing in their communities.”

Waze has also seen an increase in drivers returning to the roads since March across Canada.
