Waze Becomes Tour de France’s Official Traffic Manager

Waze has today announced a three-year sponsorship and partnership with the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Waze is now the Tour’s official Traffic Manager.

Waze

The Tour is the latest event to join more than 300 event producers in Canada and around the world as a Waze Global Event Partner, who have access to the community-based traffic and navigation app’s traffic management platform.

Waze’s community of volunteer map editors will update the Waze map with 4,000 KM of road closures for the Tour de France, the start and finish points, and more.

“After contributing to Waze for eight years, it’s an honour to be extending the app’s usefulness across the four countries and 21 stages of the Tour de France and the 8 stages of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift 2022,” said Christophe Lautier, Waze Map Editor Champ.

Waze map editors do similar work in Canada for various events, such as Canada Day, Pride Toronto, Vancouver Half Marathon, Dartmouth Open Street Sunday in Halifax, and ActiveTO in Toronto.
